Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankees Despacito Tops Hot Latin Songs Chart for 25th Week

Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito,” featuring Justin Bieber, tallies its 25th week at No. 1 on the Hot Latin Songs chart (dated Aug. 5), becoming just the fourth song to reach the 25-week mark in the chart’s 31-year history.

“Despacito,” which also earns its 11th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, ties Shakira’s “La Tortura,” featuring Alejandro Sanz, for third-longest reign at No. 1 on the Hot Latin Songs chart. Ahead of “Despacito” and “La Tortura” are Nicky Jamand Enrique Iglesias’ “El Perdon” (30 weeks at No. 1) and the all-time leader, Iglesias’ “Bailando,” featuring Descemer Bueno and Gente de Zona (41 weeks).

"Despacito" first topped the Hot Latin Songs chart on the Feb. 18-dated list and has led the chart ever since.
