Coldplay, with their hit-filled catalog, hypnotic light show and incredible pyrotechnics, are one of the biggest bands in the world and know how to put on a live show. Now, with increasingly more advanced streaming technologies, more fans than ever will have the opportunity to witness the group’s massive A Head Full of Dreams Tour with Samsung and Live Nation’s to broadcast the show live in virtual reality.
On Aug. 17 at 8:30 p.m. CT, Coldplay’s Chicago Soldier Field show will be available for viewing in real time in over 50 countries via Samsung Gear VR powered by Oculus through the Samsung VR service. To see the entirety of the concert from the fifth highest grossing tour of all time in 360 degrees, all fans need is a Gear VR headset with a comparable Samsung smartphone and to navigate to the Samsung VR service.

Kevin Chernett, Live Nation's evp of global partnerships and content distribution, added in a statement, “We not only give fans the best in-seat experience, but we’re also committed to working with the best technologies to provide every music fan an extraordinary concert experience, regardless of where they are.”
Following the performance, a replay of the concert will also be available on Samsung VR for a limited time.
