Peppa Pig Tour Has Sold More Than 600,000 Tickets in North America

Britain's most popular porker Peppa Pig hits the road Friday (Sept. 6) for a swine-tastic sweep of 50 North American cities, beginning at the Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Based on the popular Entertainment One TV series that airs on Nick Jr. in the U.S., Peppa Pig’s Adventure has already sold 600,000 tickets according to Red Light’s Jonathan Shank, who describes the family-friendly performance as “a really charming show full of great music and fun interactive scenes led by Peppa and all her friends.”

The tour follows the release of My First Album in July, featuring songs from the show including the lead single "Bing Bong Zoo." The album peaked at No. 55 on the U.K. Download Albums chart and even promoted a mock feud with rapper Iggy Azalea, who released her album In My Defense on the same day as My First Album.

Peppa Pig’s Adventure’s follows the star as she gets ready to go on a camping trip “with George and her school friends, including Pedro Pony, Suzy Sheep and Gerald Giraffe,” a release announcing the show explains. “With lunchboxes packed and Daddy Pig driving the bus, Peppa and friends are excited about their outdoor adventure,  full of games, laughter and live music.”

Organizers say the show will live on as “one of the most successful family theater tours in North American history,” and notes that previous tours have brought 340 performances in North American cities since 2015.
