Watch JAY-Z & Nas Praise The Notorious B.I.G. in the Trailer for A&Es Biggie Documentary

It's been two decades since The Notorious B.I.G. passed away, but his presence still looms large over hip-hop culture. On Sept. 4, A&E will release a three-hour documentary titled, Biggie: The Life of The Notorious B.I.G. In the trailer, JAY-Zand Nas praise Brooklyn’s fallen solider for his sparkling wordplay abilities.

“He used words that wasn’t typical for the lexicon of hip-hop,” says Jay in a preview of the doc.

Nas echoes Hov’s sentiments and has glowing remarks for the Ready to Die MC, as well. “He had more than just rap. He had the look, he had the presence. To this day, he’s one of the greatest ever to touch the mic. Ever,” he says.

In addition to Nas and JAY-Z, Biggie’s mother Voletta Wallace, his widow Faith Evans and Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs all make appearances to speak on Big's venerable legacy.

Take a look at the trailer below. Biggie: The Life of The Notorious B.I.G. will air Monday (Sept. 4) at 8 p.m. EST.
