Boos were nowhere to be found as Drake made a guest appearance at DaBaby's show in Toronto Tuesday night (Dec. 10). The 6 God showed a ton of love to the rising Charlotte star, performed "Money in the Grave" and even talked a bit about the album he's working on for next year.
"2018, 2017, I used to watch you rep your city, I used to watch you love your city." Drizzy stated. "And look, we don't say this to each other enough as rappers but I wanna say congratulations. You're killing this s--t." The crowd also erupted once he moved into the Rick Ross collab "Money in the Grave."
Drake didn't leave without a teaser of what's to come, as a new album seems to be on the way for 2020. "I love you with all my heart. I'mma go back to the crib and try to finish this album up so we can turn up in 2020," he said. Baby even added that he plans to put a verse on the project, which would be sure to do some damage on the Billboard charts.
The Toronto native's latest surprise appearance went over much better than his last cameo, when he popped up at Tyler the Creator's Camp Flog Gnaw set in Los Angeles in November only to receive a hoard of boos. But the incident clearly didn't scare Drake away from making unannounced appearances -- or making new music.
