Desert Hearts is your favorite techno friend's favorite festival. Part of the allure is its fun and funky cultural identity. It's all about great music, great people and art installations as transformative portals into another realm where the dancing never ends, but part of keeping that identity sacred means keeping the capacity locked. The spring and fall festival doesn't expand and that way it doesn't lose its scope, but it also means some would-be happy campers get left in the cold.
But, no worries as Desert Hearts hits the road to share its magic with the whole country. The DH crew left nothing but scorched earth and smiling faces in its wake this summer and now it's the winter's turn. Desert Heart faves Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs, and Porkchop will take their magical mystery tour to more than cities, from Los Angeles to New York, Atlanta, and Chicago.
It's called the Take the Ride tour and is giving off heavy Hunter S. Thompson vibes from the flyer alone. House, techno and love are on the menu, with special stops at the Dirtybird Campout, Groove Cruise Ensenada, and Ocasa Costa Rica.
