Spotify is bringing one of its most popular playlists in the U.K. to the live stage. The music streaming service announced on Friday the launch of Who We Be, taking place Nov. 30 at London's Alexandra Palace and featuring hip-hop and grime artists Bugzy Malone, Cardi B, Dizzee Rascal, Giggs, J Hus and Stefflon Don.
The concert, a collaboration with promoter SJM Concerts, is being touted as Spotify's first-ever concert in the U.K. and follows fresh on the heels of Apple's decision to discontinue its Apple Music Festival after ten years. The Who We Be playlist has more than 140,000 followers and currently is top-loaded with artists scheduled to appear at the show (see below).
"Spotify has worked tirelessly to support British talent over the last year, and we’re proud to have played a key role in the success of various urban genres such as grime and rap," said Austin Daboh, who leads Spotify's urban music team. "Who We Be Live at Alexandra Palace is Spotify’s first ever concert in the UK and will bring together some of the biggest and most exciting artists under one roof for an unforgettable night."
Tickets for Who We Be go on sale on Monday, Sept. 11.
