Lesley Olenik has left Goldenvoice and AEG Presents to accept a position at Live Nation as the company's vice president of touring, Billboard has learned.
The former senior vp of talent buying for theatres and arenas had worked with Goldenvoice for nearly ten years and has worked in concert promotions for Nederlander Concerts and Viejas in San Diego since 2004.
Olenik was recognized in 2016 on Billboard's 40 Under 40 awards for helping Odd Future's Tyler the Creator launch his Camp Flog Gnaw carnival-themed mini-fest in 2011. The event grew from a 2,500-person mini fest in Staples Center parking lot to 160-acre, two-day event that takes over 160-acre Exposition Park in South Los Angeles scheduled for Oct 28-29 this year.
Originally from San Diego and a graduate of the University of Michigan, Olenik has had her hand in everything from Adele's eight-show, two week run at Staples (gross: $13.8 million), four by Flume at Shrine Expo Hall and two by Radiohead at Shrine Auditorium. Olenik is married to Justin Galindo, a production manager at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles.
