Luis Fonsi Breaks Down Talking About Puerto Rico During Florida Concert

The most anticipated Latin tour of the year, Luis Fonsi's Love and Dance, made its stop at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Fla., on Friday (Sept. 22) -- and it was full of emotions.

Although we all know it has not been an easy week for Puerto Rico, the island where this superstar was born and also gave him the most amazing career experience this year, after serving as scenery for "Despacito" video, the most watched video of all time in the history of YouTube. But the show must go on, and Fonsi stood on the stage to leave the best of him, the love, passion and his soul as he does in every show.

"This is a special night; Miami is my second home," he said. "Tonight you're going to be on a rollercoaster with my songs. You're going to fall in love, you’re going to dance, and you will have a good time."

Opening the show with a completely new song called "Tanto Para Nada," Fonsi appeared from the bottom of the stage and joined his dancers (four girls, four guys), and this was just the beginning of a two-hour show. Then, he took the guitar to perform hits like "Corazón en la Maleta," "Nada es Para Siempre" and "Imaginame Sin Ti," among others.

In the middle of the night -- after a brief pause to change his outfit --  suddenly the English verses of the global smash and song of the summer "Despacito" arrived, inspiring the audience to rise to their feet.

After dancing and enjoying every song, Luis Fonsi could not leave the stage without mention the situation in Puerto Rico and Mexico. Tearful and with a broken voice he said, "Right now, there are a lot of people suffering and it's time to unite, it's time to help." Immediately, he sang "No Me Doy Por Vencido," a song that has been encouraging for many people. Before the tragedy, the tour was going to be used to promote tourism in Puerto Rico.

The concert was mixed with emotions and very well balanced with the selection of songs. The Love and Dance World Tour is reviving Fonsi's career at the same time it showcases his new world of sounds.

The tour will continue in Orlando, Fla. (Sept. 23), Atlanta (Sept. 24), Rosemont, Ill. (Sept. 26), Brooklyn, N.Y. (Sept. 28), Mashantucket, Conn. (Sept. 29) and Atlantic City, N.J. (Sept. 30).
