Maluma Receives YouTubes Diamond Play Button Award During London Concert

Superstar Maluma has another reason to celebrate this week.

After receiving seven nominations for the 2017 Latin Grammy Awards on Tuesday, the Colombian heartthrob was interrupted during his concert that night at London's Shephards Bush Empire -- his first time performing in the city -- to receive YouTube's Diamond Play Button award for exceeding 10 million subscribers on the platform. (He has now surpassed 11 million subscribers). 

The award was presented by Candice Morrissey, head of Europe, Middle East and Africa for YouTube Music and Eduard Castello, UK partnership manager for YouTube Music.

The “Felices Los 4” singer shared the news on his social media posting pictures of the moment.

 

Maluma is also top nominee at Latin American Music Awards, where he is competing in eight categories including artist of the year, favorite artist - urban, single of the year for "Felices Los 4" and for "Chantaje" with Shakira; among others.

This week, Maluma just finished the Spanish-leg of his European tour which will continue in France, Germany, Italy and Israel. See the full schedule below.
