Dierks Bentleys What the Hell Tour Earns $26 Million

The final box office counts have been reported for Dierks Bentley’s What The Hell tour, and the trek brought in $26.4 million in revenue and played to 660,507 fans.

The tour visited 51 North American cities this year, while the country headliner ranks among the highest-grossing country tours of 2017, based on grosses reported to Billboard Boxscore. He performed single shows in 51 U.S. and Canadian markets – with 22 sellouts.

The last 22 performances of the tour -- occurring June 16 through Sept. 2 -- were reported during the past week, earning Bentley the No. 2 slot on the weekly recap of Hot Tours (see list below). Sales from these final dates totaled $13.1 million from 372,235 sold seats.

The largest crowd of the tour was tracked at Klipsch Music Center in the Indianapolis market with 24,560 fans in the house on July 22. That event topped the attendance count at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Ill. by just 33 tickets, but the Chicago-area amphitheater produced the top gross of the tour: $820,107 on July 28.

The What The Hell tour launched on Jan. 19 at the Ervin J. Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio and continued through Sept. 2. Bentley’s final performance was a sold out date at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in the Denver suburb of Englewood.
