Las Vegas Shooting: Live Nations Michael Rapino and Big Machines Scott Borchetta Lead Industry Reactions

In the wake of the deadly mass shooting Sunday night at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas, members of the music industry have begun reacting with a stunned mix of thoughts, prayers and grief across social media. Officially the worst mass shooting in American history, over 400 people were hospitalized following the sniper-style attack, with 58 dead.

President Donald Trump offered his "warmest condolences and sympathies" to the victims, while Barack Obama said he and Michelle Obama were "praying for the victims in Las Vegas. Our thoughts are with their families & everyone enduring another senseless tragedy," and Bill Clinton said he was "thinking of the victims and responders in Las Vegas. This should be unimaginable in America." Pope Francis called the shooting a "senseless tragedy."

Reactions are also trickling in from music execs ranging from Michael Rapino of Live Nation, the concert giant behind Route 91 and dozens of other festivals, as well as Big Machine Label Group head Scott Borchetta, radio personality Bobby Bones and the Country Music Association. Here is a running list below:

Our hearts are with the victims in Las Vegas, their families and loved ones who are grieving this morning and to our @LiveNation employees

I cannot believe what I am waking up to this am. None of us are untouched by this hate. It must stop. My heart's shattered

CMA & the Country Music community are deeply saddened today and send our support and prayers to all the victims in Las Vegas.
