Matoma Recounts Night of Las Vegas Shooting: People Came Running Toward Us Screaming

The tragic shooting that took place at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival in Las Vegas on Sunday night that left at least 59 people dead and over 500 injured shook the entire city, including Matoma's residency at Hakkasan Nightclub just minutes away.

The DJ and producer recounted his personal experience on social media Monday, telling his followers, "people came running toward us screaming, crying and paralyzed of what was going on over by the Mandalay Bay area and the country music festival."

Hakkasan Group, the worldwide hospitality company that owns numerous nightclub properties include Hakkasan Nightclub, tells Billboard, "Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by last night’s tragic events. We are liaising closely with authorities and will continue to do so as the well-being of our guests and our staff remains our absolute priority."
