Iglesias is Not Just for Latins
About halfway through his set, he ran from the main stage to a smaller one in the center of the arena and brought up a very non-Latin fan onstage. Together, they drank shots of Iglesias' favorite rum and sang some hits. To top it off, the fan's wife also came onstage. One big multicultural party.
This Show Packs Some Heat — in a Good Way
When Iglesias opened with current hit "Subeme la Radio," the flames behind him were so strong, the audience could literally feel the fire.
Do as I Say, Not as I Do
In a hilarious/ironic moment, Iglesias told a heartwarming story about writing "Hero" after dropping out of college and told everyone to stay in school. Unless, of course, they want to do music.
It's Bilingual, Baby
It looked like it was the grand finale for Iglesias when he sang "Bailando" in Spanish with the music video playing behind him. But no. He segued into "I Like It" to end the set, and the audience blew the roof off the stadium. Most impressive? Hearing the crowd switch from Spanish to English effortlessly.
The Most Bad Ones Are the Best
Pitbull's backup dancers, The Most Bad Ones (as in "Las mas malas"), continue being the sexiest, baddest dance troupe in pop music. No question.
Only Pitbull Can Do This
About halfway through his set, the rapper gave a speech about how women were the strongest force in the world and how he loves women. Then he rapped "Hotel Room Service" with a series of naked women's silhouettes on red squares in the background. It brought down the house and was classic Pitbull.
Pit Gets Political
Unlike Iglesias, Pitbull got political and spoke about the "United States not divided states." Pitbull hasn't been shy to speak his mind in the past several months and also spoke openly about his opposition to the wall. But, he said, at the end of the day, he just wants to bring people together to party. And that he did.
