Justin Bieber Vows to Help California Wildfire Victims

Wildfires have devastated areas of Southern California this week, and Justin Bieber is looking to help those affected in whatever way he can.

As of Saturday afternoon (Dec. 9), the Los Angeles Times reports six wildfires have destroyed nearly 800 structures and forced over 90,000 people to evacuate their homes. There are 8,500 firefighters working to put out the fires.

"I'm going to have a conversation with some people, and we are going to get moving on a solution," Bieber said in an Instagram video seen below, which he posted on Friday. "Obviously I am not a fireman, but I can use my resources to figure out ways to get some sort of restoration in certain communities, fundraisers, whatever we can do."

Bieber also shared information about where locals could make donations in the Los Angeles area this weekend. The post emphasized that people are in need of water, clothing, food, baby necessities like diapers and formula, personal hygiene products and blankets, pillows and sheets.

Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus are among various other artists who have spoken out about the wildfires. "Saying a prayer and sending loving thoughts to those suffering in California due to these horrible fires. No one deserves to lose their home, and during the holidays this is especially traumatic. Praying for you and that you find some peace and the flames settle," Gaga wrote.
