Dick Clark Productions Names Todd Waks SVP

Dick Clark Productions has named marketing executive Todd Waks as its new senior vice president of strategic alliances, the company announced on Wednesday. In his new role, Waks will spearhead sponsorships and revenue initiatives across the company's roster of shows, including the Billboard Music Awards, the American Music Awards and Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.

Waks most recently served as CEO at Entertainment Alliances and previously held positions at Live Nation and Clear Channel. He'll be based in Santa Monica, Calif. and will report to company president Mike Mahan.

"Todd brings more than 20 years of experience developing strategic partnerships with myriad entertainment, sports and digital brands," said Mahan. "As the sponsorship space continues to evolve, his vision aligns perfectly with the growth strategy of dcp and we look forward to having him join the team."

Added Waks, "I am thrilled to begin the next chapter of my career with such a prestigious organization. The first class properties produced by dick clark productions are second to none. Having the opportunity to create relevant and viable Global brand partnerships on behalf of dcp is an incredible opportunity."

DCP is part of Eldridge Industries, the U.S. holding company whose assets also include the Hollywood Reporter-Billboard Media Group. Eldridge recently called off a proposed $1 billion sale of DCP to Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group.
