Chris Monaco Joins EDM Company LiveStyle

LiveStyle, the reorganized EDM company previously known as SFX, has hired Chris Monaco as chief revenue officer – brand partnerships and sponsorships. Prior to working for LiveStyle, which is emerging from bankruptcy in federal court, Monaco worked at Universal Music Group as senior vice president of strategic marketing and brand development.

In his new position, Monaco will head the global partnerships team, and develop and execute brand strategy across the company’s event, content, and digital platforms. Monaco will be based in LiveStyle’s Beverly Hills, California offices.

LiveStyle’s President and CEO Randy Phillips said in a statement provided to Billboard, “Chris and I first worked together when he was at Octagon and I was the CEO of AEG Live, so I know his capabilities very well. His industry experience makes him a great addition as LiveStyle CRO, as we continue to create new and innovative opportunities for our festivals, brands, and fans.”

Before Universal, Monaco was senior vice president music and entertainment for Octagon. Prior to Octagon, he worked at Pernod Ricard, leading entertainment marketing, sponsorship, branded content, product placement, and events for the portfolio of brands.
