DJ Khaled is still The One. The Miami DJ and producer enters a second week at the summit of Australia’s singles chart with his collab-crammed track “I’m the One” (Universal/Sony) while Ed Sheeran’s Divide (Warner) rises 2-1 for a ninth week atop the albums chart.
“I’m the One,” which features Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance the Rapper and Lil Wayne, has hit the top in the U.S. U.K., Canada, New Zealand and elsewhere and it improves 3-1 for its first stint at No. 1 on ARIA’s Streaming Singles chart.
Also this week, Bieber manages a one-two of sorts. The Canadian pop singer has guest credits on the top two songs on the ARIA Singles Chart: “I’m the One” andLuis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito” (Republic/Universal), which climbs 10-2 in its third week on the survey.
The third and fourth ranked singles this week belong to Ed Sheeran, with “Galway Girl” (Atlantic/Warner) and quadruple- platinum “Shape of You” (Asylum/Warner), respectively, while Kendrick Lamar’s gold-certified “HUMBLE.” (Interscope/Universal) slips 3-5.
With a No. 11 bow, Niall Horan has the week’s highest new entry with “Slow Hands” (Capitol/EMI). It’s the One Direction singer’s second solo release after “This Town,” which peaked at No. 5 last October.
On the ARIA Albums Chart this week, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds enjoy another top 10 with
Lovely Creatures (BMG/Warner), a best-of set which gathers 15 works from the first 30 years of the alternative rock band’s existence. It’s the followup to Skelton Tree, which topped the national chart last year and was selected to the Australian Music Prize shortlist.
Also cracking the top 20 at the first attempt are new albums by At The Drive-In(in•ter a•li•a at No. 15 via CVA/UMA), San Cisco (The Water at No. 17 via Island City Records/MGM) and Chris Stapleton, who enjoys a career-best No. 20 with From A Room: Volume 1 (Mercury).
