Michelle Branch Signs With APA

Michelle Branch has signed with APA, The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard have exclusively learned. She previously was with WME.

Last month the Grammy-winning multiplatinum singer-songwriter released Hopeless Romantic, her first solo studio album since 2003's Hotel Paper. The Verve Records release was produced by The Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney (whom Branch is dating) and Gus Seyffert.

Branch signed with Maverick Records at 17, and her 2001 debut, The Spirit Room, sold 2 million copies in the U.S. on the strength of singles "Everywhere," "All You Wanted" and "Goodbye to You." She was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2003 Grammy Awards, where she shared a Best Pop Collaboration win with Santana for "The Game of Love." At the ceremony the following year, she was nominated again, this time for Best Female Rock Performance for the single "Are You Happy Now?" off the platinum-selling Hotel Paper.

In 2006, Branch partnered with Jessica Harp to release Stand Still, Look Pretty as modern-country duo The Wreckers. The album went gold and single "Leave the Pieces" earned yet another Grammy nomination, this time for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group.

Branch will tour the U.S. this summer, starting with Chicago on July 6.

She continues to be represented by Working Group Artist Management and Mark Music and Media Law.
