Laura Marano has signed to Warner Bros Records. The actress and singer is best known for her role as Ally in the Disney Channel kids comedy Austin & Ally.
The star is focused on transitioning from being a Disney star to a pop star. The video for her 2016 single "Boombox" -- which was released on Big Machine Records -- received over 45 million views on YouTube. She currently has her own weekly program on Radio Disney.
Marano is currently filming the feature War With Grandpa alongside Robert Deniro, Uma Thurman and Christopher Walken, and has recently wrapped up the Greta Gerwig-directed high school drama, Ladybird. Up next for Marano is a hosting gig on the 2017 Billboard Music Awards red carpet May 21.
In line with her new deal, Marano plans to release new music this fall.
