David Guetta's latest single "2U," featuring Justin Bieber, debuted atop the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart Friday morning (June 9) after its release at midnight ET.
The Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart measures the real-time acceleration of conversation around artists and their music on Twitter.
"2U" first hit the Trending 140 chart around 4 a.m. ET Friday morning and topped the list shortly after its release on YouTube and other streaming services. Victoria's Secret model Sara Sampaio first teased the song on Twitter on Wednesday, sharing 13 seconds of the track.
The full music video, which features Victoria's Secret models lip-syncing the song, has surged to 1.5 million global views on YouTube so far since its posting.
"2U" follows prior success for both acts in 2017. Guetta has charted two songs on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart this year—"Light My Body Up," featuring Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne, and "Another Life," with Afrojack and featuring Ester Dean. Bieber, meanwhile, has soared to two Billboard Hot 100 No. 1s in 2017 as a featured artist, on DJ Khaled's "I'm the One," also featuring Quavo, Chance The Rapper and Lil Wayne, and on Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's current leader "Despacito."
