Karrueche Tran was granted a five year restraining order against her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown on Thursday (July 15)
The model and actress testified in a Santa Monica courtroom that Brown had threatened her after they broke up over some diamond rings and other gifts he had given her and wanted back, TMZ reports.
Tran's publicist declined to comment.
Brown was not present at the hearing and, according to E! News, the judge did not allow him to call in.
Two voicemails Brown left for Tran were played during the hearing, in which he reportedly cursed at her and made threats. Threatening text messages were also examined, wherein Brown explicitly threatened violence.
According to both E! News and TMZ, Brown said he would "beat the shit" out of her, as well as other threats.
Tran said that Brown had hit her in the past and "didn't put it past" Brown to hurt her again, E! News reports. She also told the judge she did not have the rings anymore because she had sold them in hopes Brown would leave her alone.
In February, Tran was granted a temporary restraining order against Brown because the singer had "threatened to kill me to others, threatened me via text messages and threatened to harass my friends," she wrote in court documents obtained by E! News.
He also allegedly threatened to shoot her, according to Tran's statement: "He said if no one else can have me, then he's gonna 'take me out.'"
She also claimed that years ago Brown "punched me in my stomach twice" and "pushed me down the stairs."
Brown posted and then deleted comments on social media that time of the filing, according to E! News, telling his followers not to listen to "all this bulls--t."
"Make sure ya'll don't be listening to all this bulls--t, man," he reportedly wrote. "What all them other people on the outside doing, let them do what they doing. I don't know what the f--k they talking about."
