Republic Records Promotes Marisa Bianco to VP of Media

Marisa Bianco has been promoted to vice president of media at Republic Records, it was announced Thursday by label group president Charlie Walk and senior vp of media Joseph Carozza. Bianco joined Republic in 2014 as a senior director, and has overseen publicity campaigns that have helped break new artists (DNCE, Hailee Steinfeld) and cemented the star power of established ones (Nicki Minaj, Phantogram).

Prior to joining Republic, the New York University alum spent nine years at Atlantic Records, where she helped break artists including Janelle Monáe and Christina Perri, and worked on campaigns for established acts like Rob Thomas and Jason Mraz, among others.

"Marisa's promotion exemplifies the natural evolution of the media department and her growth as an executive," said Walk. "Her unique and strategic approach to maximize media reach for our artists complements her incredible passion for the music."

Carozza called Bianco's level of dedication to the label's artists "indispensable and an integral key to our success, especially when breaking new acts."

Bianco added, "I am so proud to be a part of the Republic Records team under the unparalleled leadership of Monte andAvery Lipman, Charlie Walk, and Joe Carozza. Having the opportunity to grow within this company and to work with such an incredible roster of talent continues to inspire me every day. I look forward to our continued success together."

The Republic Records roster includes DNCE, James Bay, Kid Cudi, John Mellencamp, Charles Hamilton and Of Monsters and Men, among others.
