Cardi B has never been one to hold her tongue when it comes to her opinions, and she's opening up in a pair of new interviews about everything from politics to her new music.
Chatting with SiriusXM's Sway in the Morning, the outspoken rapper explained why she endorsed Joe Biden for president.
"It's either, like, we go with Joe Biden or Donald Trump," she said. "I'd rather go with Joe Biden. I have spoken to Joe Biden before. I think he gets it. I don't know if it's sympathize, but I think that he understands what we want. I think he understands that what we want are simple things, you know what I'm saying? We're not asking for much, we just asking for certain s--t.
"You know, I told him that it's like, we just tired of f--king fake promises, with everybody acting like they care,'" she continued. "I hope you care. And I'm just ready to see a change. I think if Trump wins again, I will literally...have a f--king mental breakdown. I think I will be sad and crying, no lie. Because I think everybody will. Like, we just tired. We're tired."
In a separate interview with Apple Music, Cardi also spoke about the girl power-fueled video for "WAP," her new collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, which features cameos by everyone from Kylie Jenner, Normani and Rosalía to rising artists like Sukihana, Rubi Rose and Mulatto..
"I wanted a lot of different females, not just female rappers. I wanted different...A lot of different people. And y'all going to see it on the music video as well, from models to influencers and everything," she told Zane Lowe of the visual. "And I really wanted the video to be very sexy, very clean, very nice, very cut. All right, we need some female artists, rappers. And I'm like, 'These are the girls that I personally like. That I like they music. That I really feel they are going to go mainstream, to me.' All the girls right here, there's different things that I like about them."
