The Boyz Prove Their Staying Power With Thunderous New Single ‘The Stealer’: Watch

Since coming in first place in the boy-band competition series Road to Kingdom earlier this year, The Boyz’s popularity has reached new heights. After a career-defining, theatrical cover of Taemin’s “Danger,” as well as their finale-winning performance of new song “Checkmate,” the 11-member boy band has laid a foundation for years of continued success.

The Boyz, who took a brief break after Road to Kingdom, are back, and they're living up to their reputation as K-pop’s brightest and most promising group by releasing their ambitious new EP titled Chase. Since its release on Sept. 21, the stirring music video for dramatic lead single “The Stealer” has already garnered more than 12 million views on YouTube.

Throughout the riveting, six-track release, The Boyz make a searing statement to their limitless talent and ability to continuously evolve with new styles, genres and musical approaches.

Members Sangyeon, Kevin, Hyunjae, Jacob, Sunwoo, Eric, Juyeon, Younghoon, New, Q, and Juhaknyeon move effortlessly between tracks like their contemporary hip-hop single “The Stealer,” pop-R&B cut “Insanity,” and futuristic-sounding “Make or Break,” (which was co-written by group’s lyricist and rapper Sunwoo).

Just three years into their career, The Boyz already have an impressive catalog of songs but they've also proven that they have the drive, allure, technical skills and musicianship to now compete with the major acts while subverting ordinary K-pop expectations.
