What’s new, smooth as silk on the ears, and features two stars of R&B?
It’s Silk Sonic, the new project from Grammy Award winners Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak.
The groovy duo share their first single “Leave the Door Open” and an intro track featuring “special guest host” Bootsy Collins, all lifted from the forthcoming album An Evening With Silk Sonic.
“Leave The Door Open” is lounge at its heart; it was produced by Mars and D’Mile, and written by Bruno, Anderson, D’Mile and Brody Brown.
Also newsworthy is the launch of Mars’ first lifestyle clothing collection. The “Uptown Funk” singer plays ball with Lacoste on the launch of the Ricky Regal range.
The music video for “Leave the Door Open” is directed by Mars and Florent Dechard and can be streamed in full below.
