Drake enters a third week at No. 1 in Australia with “God’s Plan” (Republic/Universal) as The Greatest Showman (Atlantic/Warner) rules the albums chart for a seventh frame.
"God’s Plan," which should benefit from the release last Friday of its official video, is challenged by Rudimental’s “These Days” (EastWest/Warner), which improves 4-2, a new peak in its fourth week on the ARIA Singles Chart. Meanwhile, Post Malone’s “I Fall Apart” (Universal) is unchanged at No. 3, Bebe Rexha & Florida Georgia Line’s “Meant to Be” (Warner) improves 5-4 and Kendrick Lamar & SZA’s “All The Stars” (Interscope/Universal) leaps 19-5, as its parent Black Panther: The Album (Interscope/Universal) debuts at No. 2. "Stars" is Lamar’s second top ten single after “Humble.” reached No. 2 in April 2017.
With all the hype surrounding the new Marvel film, Lamar appears a second time in the top 20 with his Black Panther release “Pray For Me,” a collaboration with The Weeknd which improves six places to a new high of No. 12.
Just two new releases impact the top 50 this week, Marshmello & Anne Marie’s"FRIENDS" (No. 32 via Atlantic/Warner) and Migos’ “Stir Fry” (No. 40 via Capitol/EMI), while six homegrown recordings appear on the new tally, led by Pnau’s “Go Bang” (Universal) at No. 16.
On the ARIA Albums Chart, Black Panther leads four new arrivals in the top 10. The Fifty Shades Freed (Universal) soundtrack opens at No. 4, The Wombats’ Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life (Warner) is at No. 5 and Wollongong surf rock band Hockey Dad bow at No. 6 with their second album, Blend Inn (Inertia).
