Reba McEntire took on hosting responsibilities for the 16th time at the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night (Apr. 7). But as long as she was there, the all-time country great also graced the stage with a performance, of new song "Freedom."
McEntire delivered a fiery rendition of the impassioned new song, with the handwritten lyrics appearing on the screen behind her. The song reached its peak with a searing guitar solo midway through, and the Country Music Hall of Famer received a rousing ovation following the performance.
"Freedom" was released in March, as the lead single off McEntire's 33rd studio album -- Stronger Than the Truth, released last Friday. The song has reached No. 52 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart.
