LCD Soundsystem & Cardi B Hit Top 10 on Billboard Artist 100 Chart

LCD Soundsystem debuts at No. 2 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart (dated Sept. 23), as the act's latest studio album, American Dream, arrives at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 85,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Sept. 7, according to Nielsen Music.

The Artist 100, which launched in July 2014, measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.

Album sales contribute nearly all of LCD Soundsystem's Artist 100 points (99 percent), as the new set earns the act its first No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Top Rock AlbumsVinyl Albums and Top Album Sales charts.

Taylor Swift remains the top musical act in the U.S., leading the Artist 100 for a record-extending 33rd week. Her "Look What You Made Me Do" spends a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, while "…Ready for It?" debuts at No. 4; both songs preview her sixth studio album, Reputation, due Nov. 10. Rounding out the Artist 100's top five, Imagine Dragons jump 5-3, Lil Uzi Vert dips 2-4 and Ed Sheeran rises 7-5.

Elsewhere on the Artist 100, Cardi B hits the top 10 for the first time (17-10), as her breakthrough single "Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)" climbs to a new peak of No. 2 on the Hot 100 and spends a second week at No. 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
