Lil Wayne is heading home. The rapper's fifth annual Lil WeezyAna Fest will touch down in his native New Orleans on September 7, and this year, the event is bigger than ever.
Presented by Live Nation Urban, the lineup for the one-day festival includes such hip-hop heavyweights as Travis Scott, Meek Mill, Megan Thee Stallion, Saweetie and Trey Songz across two stages, plus a headlining set by Weezy himself. All this will go down at a new location, the 90-acre UNO Lakefront Arena Festival Grounds, which the fest hopes will double attendance numbers compared to last year.
“Lil Wayne is ubiquitous with New Orleans and Lil WeezyAna Fest is an incredible representation of the city’s vibrant and thriving music culture," says Brandon Pankey, Live Nation Urban's vice president of business development and operations. "In its fifth year, the festival has become a New Orleans tradition and Live Nation Urban is beyond ecstatic to bear witness to such an impactful event.”
In addition to celebrating New Orleans' rich musical history, Wayne's annual homecoming also aims to give back to the local community. This year, $0.50 of every ticket sold will be donated to support educational initiatives for New Orleans youth.

Based on the fest's previous editions, guests can expect plenty of surprises. Last year's festival celebrating the 10th anniversary of Tha Carter III included special guests like Nicki Minaj and Birdman, who took the opportunity to officially squash his longtime beef with Wayne onstage.
