Thomas Rhett jumps from No. 33 to No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart (dated June 15) to become the top musical act in the U.S. for a second total week, as his fourth LP, Center Point Road, debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 76,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music.
Rhett becomes the first country artist to hit No. 1 on the Artist 100 in 2019. Carrie Underwood and Jason Aldean were the only country acts to rule the chart in 2018.
Rhett also becomes the third country act to spend multiple weeks at No. 1 on the Artist 100 (which launched in 2014), joining Aldean (three total frames) and Florida Georgia Line (two).
Rhett first led the Artist 100 dated Sept. 30, 2017, as his third LP Life Changes debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Rhett's return to the Artist 100 apex is also aided by the new set's lead single, "Look What God Gave Her," which hits new highs on Hot Country Songs (No. 3) and the Billboard Hot 100 (No. 32).
The Artist 100 measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.
Rounding out the Artist 100's top five, Billie Eilish dips to No. 2 after two nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1; BTS falls 2-3; Khalid holds at No. 4; and Lil Nas X drops 3-5.
