Alessia Cara opens her newest single, "Okay Okay," with the line: "My best friend said to me, 'I know just what we need/A song of yours that we could feel ourselves to.'" Now the Grammy winner and that very same BFF are cruising around town for the tune's new lyric video.
In a clip uploaded on Friday (Aug. 30), Cara and her pal pull their own version of Carpool Karaoke, lip-syncing to the empowering summer jam while driving around in a convertible with the top down.
The carefree, youthful energy of the clip aligns perfectly with the lyrics, "Turn pain into a paycheck/Should see me in a sundress/I do it all with ease, I should give lessons (Okay, Okay, Okay)."
