Most of us are happy to hop into a private karaoke room with friends or get a killer sushi boat for our landmark birthdays. Not Bebe Rexha. The singer celebrated her 30th bday on Friday (Aug. 30) by releasing the thought-provoking video for her ballad "Not 20 Anymore."
The song continues Rexha's recent outspoken messages about body acceptance and self love with the poweful opening lines, "Oh I'm not 20 anymore/ Don't try to make me feel insecure/ Cause if one thing's for sure I don't want to be/ I feel so good in my skin/ Should I let you go should I let you in/ Oh baby don't need anyone to show me what to do/ Beauty's more than a number."
And if that message doesn't come through loud enough, the jazzy, slow-burn song has Rexha making it clear that she won't be made to feel insecure, because she's wiser, stronger, a better lover, and yes, older, but she wouldn't go back to 2010 if you paid her.
The visual also features a series of 20 year-old men and women giving their own testimonials about what it feels like to be that age, including the fears, insecurities and worries about the future that come with youth.
