Post Malone tallies his third consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart (dated Oct. 5), reigning as the top musical act in the U.S. for an eighth total week. His album Hollywood's Bleeding logs its third week atop the Billboard 200 with 149,000 equivalent album units earned, according to Nielsen Music.
Malone's rule is also aided by 11 entries on the Billboard Hot 100, all from the new set, led by two in the top 10: "Circles" at No. 8 and "Goodbyes," featuring Young Thug, at No. 9.
The Artist 100 measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.
Zac Brown Band re-enters the Artist 100 at No. 2, as the group's new LP The Owl launches at No. 1 on Top Country Albums and No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 106,000 units. The band led the Artist 100 for a week in May 2015.
Plus, Blink-182 re-enters at No. 3, as the band's new album Nine starts at No. 1 on Top Rock Albums and No. 3 on the Billboard 200 (94,000 units). The band topped the Artist 100 for a week in July 2016.
Rounding out the Artist 100's top five, Lizzo holds at No. 4, as her smash "Truth Hurts" tops the Hot 100 for a fifth week, and Swift dips 3-5.
