Paramore Hits Hot Tours Tally From Fall Trek

Paramore lands on the latest slate of Hot Tours (see below) based on box office counts from its trek through 20 North American cities during September and October. The fall run — dubbed Tour Two — reported by tour producer Live Nation, was the second leg of the band’s 2017 tour, in support of its May 12 release After Laughter. 

The fall trek generated $3.8 million in sold ticket revenue from 20 performances, hitting 67,561 in attendance during a six-week stretch. The trio’s headlining effort was booked in theater-sized venues with an average capacity of 3,300. New York’s Radio City Music Hall, one of seven venues to host a sellout crowd during the fall leg, had the best-attended concert, with 5,865 fans present for an Oct. 4 event.

The North American run came on the heels of the band’s opening summer jaunt through European cities (appropriately called Tour One). No box office data was reported to Billboard Boxscore from Europe, but the tour covered 12 countries on the continent and -- like the North American leg -- was also set primarily in theaters and other smaller venues. Aside from those headlining dates, the band also appeared at a host of festivals during the summer run. The tour’s opening European leg began with a June 15 concert in Dublin and ended with a festival date in Tonsberg, Norway on July 14.

A handful of U.S. fair and festival dates preceded the After Laughter Tour’s fall leg, which began at the Times-Union Center in Jacksonville, Fla. on Sept. 6. The finale was held in the group’s hometown of Nashville at the famed Ryman Auditorium on Oct. 17.
