Alison Brie Speaks About James Franco Sexual Misconduct Claims on SAG Awards Red Carpet

E!'s red-carpet preshow for the SAG Awards had barely begun when host Giuliana Rancic put nominee Alison Brieon the spot with a question about the sexual misconduct claims against brother-in-law James Franco.

Franco, who's nominated for best actor for his role in The Disaster Artist, has been accused of sexually inappropriate or exploitative behavior by at least five women, with a number of people taking to Twitter after Franco won his best actor Golden Globe to accuse him of inappropriate behavior.

Brie is married to Franco's brother, Dave, who also appears in The Disaster Artist.

Rancic introduced the question by mentioning that both she and Brie are supporters of the Time's Up movement: "So much of the movement has to do with transparency and, as you know, your family and your brother-in-law has been in the news recently. What are your thoughts on that and what can you share about how that's affected you and your family?"

Brie responded, "I think that above all what we've always said is that it remains vital that anyone who feels victimized should and does have the right to speak out and come forward. I obviously support my family and not everything that's been reported is fully accurate, so I think we're waiting to get all of the information. But of course I think now is a time for listening and that's what we're all trying to do."

Brie is nominated for two SAG Awards for her role in GLOW.

Franco was one of the stars to wear a Time's Up pin at the Golden Globes.
