Pinto Wahin Signs to Walter Kolm Management, Sony Music Latin Deal

Just in time for the World Cup, former Barcelona star turned music artist and producer Jose Manuel Pinto “Wahin” has signed a management deal with Walter Kolm Entertainment.

The announcement was timed to today's release of the single “Suave,” by another footballer, Brazilian Dani Alves, who had to sit out the World Cup following an injury in May. “Suave” features Wahin and Brazilian artist Thiago Matheus.

This is not Wahin’s first foray into music. As José Manuel Pinto, he was a professional soccer goalkeeper for two decades, playing with champions Barcelona FC from 2008 to 2014, when he retired from the game to produce music. Since then, as Pinto “Wahin,” among other projects he released “La Habana,” featuring Cuban reggaeton artist El Taiger, which was included on the Fate of the Furious soundtrack. Wahing also won a Latin Grammy in 2016 as the sound engineer on Niña Pastori’s album Ámame como soy, which won the Latin Grammy for best flamenco album.

Wahin signed as a recording artist to Sony Music Latin in April. As an artist on WK, he joins Carlos Vives, Maluma, CNCO, Wisin and Silvestre Dangond, among others.

“I’m convinced of Wahin’s talent, and I know that together with Sony Music we have no limits,” said Kolm in a statement. “I’m convinced that with Walter Kolm’s great experience and vision, our talents will compound and we’ll be able to join two worlds that people are passionate about,” added Wahin.
