Tommee Profitt, Legacies Rule December 2018s Top TV Songs Chart

Tommee Profitt crowns The Hollywood Reporter’s Top TV Songs chart, powered by Tunefind, for December 2018 for his cover of Linkin Park's “In the End,” featuring Jung Youth and Fleurie, which appeared in The CW’s Legacies.

Rankings for the Top TV Songs chart are based on song and show data provided by Tunefind and ranked using a formula blending that data with sales and streaming information tracked by Nielsen Music during the corresponding period.

“In the End” is featured in the fifth episode of the first season of Legacies, The CW’s newly premiered spinoff of The Originals. In December, the song snagged 2,000 digital downloads and was streamed 3.4 million times, according to Nielsen Music.

Profitt also appears at No. 8 on the December tally, also with a track from Legacies: “Wake Me Up” -- a cover of Avicii -- again featuring Fleurie. The track appeared in the show’s sixth episode and racked up 1,000 downloads and 296,000 streams.

Meanwhile, Mad Season’s 1995 single “River of Deceit” returns to the charts by ranking at No. 2 on Top TV Songs following its appearance in the 10th episode of the CBS drama SEAL Team’s second season.

“Deceit,” which peaked at Nos. 2 and 9 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs and Alternative Songs airplay charts, respectively, in May 1995, reaches Top TV Songs with 2,000 downloads and 1 million streams in December.
