Leeds dance punk outfit Adult DVD are preparing for their biggest milestone yet, announcing that their self titled debut album will arrive on September 25 through Fat Possum Records. Alongside the announcement, the six piece have released a brand new single, “Cowboy On Aisle Three,” giving fans another taste of what to expect from the record.
After building momentum with the EPs Fountain Of Youth in 2023 and Next Day Shipping in 2024, the band are now ready to deliver their first full length project. Sharing the news online, Adult DVD described the album as something they are immensely proud of and said they are excited for listeners to finally hear the complete collection.
Leading the latest release is “Cowboy On Aisle Three,” an energetic blend of punchy rhythms, gritty guitars and infectious hooks. While the music is built for crowded dance floors and festival stages, the lyrics explore moments of everyday frustration and the temptation to completely abandon routine.
Frontman Harry Hanson revealed the unusual inspiration behind the song, explaining that the idea came to him during a shopping trip to Lidl.
“I came up with the idea when I was in Lidl,” Hanson said. “I’m sure everyone has thought, ‘Imagine if I just went nuts now’, to get out of doing the big shop.”
The accompanying black and white music video embraces that playful spirit. Filmed inside Leeds' New Burley Club and written and directed by the band's Greg Lonsdale alongside Danny Blackburn, the visual transforms the venue into “Lee’s Wild West Night,” complete with cowboy outfits, live performances and plenty of mechanical bull riding.
The upcoming album promises a mix of sharp storytelling and relentless energy, pairing synth driven punk with colorful characters inspired by everyday life. From conspiracy theorists obsessed with 5G to restless dreamers searching for an escape, the record aims to balance humor, chaos and memorable songwriting without losing its danceable edge.
Production duties were handled by Loren Humphrey, whose previous work includes Geese, Cameron Winter and Wunderhorse. The album will also include the previously released fan favorite “Real Tree Lee.”

Adult DVD continue to attract attention on the live circuit. Earlier this year, NME named the group among the standout acts at The Great Escape 2026, praising their explosive performances, witty personality and ability to merge indie, electronic and punk influences into an unforgettable festival set.
The band's busy schedule continues throughout the summer with appearances at Latitude, Truck, Green Man, End Of The Road and Psych Festival before launching a headline tour across the UK and Ireland later this year.
The tour begins on October 13 in Cardiff before stopping in Bristol, Sheffield, Cambridge, Oxford, Nottingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, Brighton, London, Leeds and Manchester. In November, the run continues with dates in Dublin, Ulster, Galway and Limerick, bringing their debut album to audiences across the UK and Ireland.
