TRNSMT Festival 2026: Here’s The Latest Weather Outlook

TRNSMT Festival is set to begin this week, with organisers releasing the latest weather forecast ahead of the three day event.

This year’s edition of the festival will take place at Glasgow Green from Friday June 19 to Sunday June 21. The main stage will be headlined by Richard Ashcroft, Kasabian and Lewis Capaldi across the weekend.

The lineup also features performances from Wolf Alice, CMAT, The Last Dinner Party, Sonny Fodera, English Teacher, Perrie, Loyle Carner, Big Special, NewDad, Jacob Alon and The Snuts, among others.

Organisers have also recently teased a “very special secret set” planned for 2026 and released full stage timings ahead of this year’s edition.

According to the latest BBC Weather forecast, Glasgow is expected to see mixed conditions across the weekend, including rain, thunderstorms and occasional sunny spells.

Friday June 19 is forecast to bring thundery showers and a moderate breeze, with a high chance of rain throughout the day. Temperatures are expected to range between 11 and 18°C.

Saturday June 20 will see light rain showers and a moderate breeze, with conditions improving slightly later in the day. Rain is expected to ease by around 6pm, with temperatures ranging from 9 to 18°C.

Sunday June 21 is expected to be the most settled day, with sunny intervals and a gentle breeze. There is only a small chance of morning rain, which should clear by around 11am before potentially returning later in the evening. Temperatures will range from 13 to 20°C.

In other news, TRNSMT has adjusted parts of its schedule to accommodate a live broadcast of Scotland’s World Cup match against Morocco at 11pm BST on Friday June 19. The game falls on the same night as Richard Ashcroft’s headline set.

Fans attending the festival will be allowed to remain on site to watch the match, which will be shown on what organisers have described as the “largest screens in the country”.

Elsewhere, Kasabian frontman Serge Pizzorno recently spoke to NME about the band’s upcoming album ‘Act III’ and what fans can expect from their summer live shows.

“We’re rehearsing already,” he said. “It’s great and the set is just full-on relentless. We’re so excited. We’re reimagining the songs and it’s an eras-defining set with songs passing through from the start, a few little surprises and some mad bits that people will recognise.

“We’re just going to give the people what they want; that’s the story of this summer. It’s an excuse to go insane.”
