Dior Carter Evolves Expectations with NO MORE FAKE FRIENDZ

Dior Carter Evolves Expectations with NO MORE FAKE FRIENDZ

Dior Carter. Remember that name. He’s not an artist to associate with a trend, style, or genre. Dior Carter is a name to associate with evolution... evolution not only in his sound but in his art forms. “I could do anything,” said Carter. “I’m not limited to one sound. I’m very controversial; the controversy comes from me enduring all sorts of music. I can produce multiple sounds. I can do EDM, Pop, Rap, R&B, Hip Hop. I can do whatever I set my mind to.”
A musician since age 9, Carter created his first mixtape at 13. “That’s when I started taking it seriously,” Carter explained. “Moving forward, I dropped some more singles. And I haven’t stopped since.” Undaunted by the pandemic, Carter continued to sharpen his artistic axe and develop. “That’s what coronavirus did for me,” said Carter. “Everyone had to stay in the house for a year. But I was able to refine myself. I was able to figure out what I wanted to do. Having the advantage of focusing on myself, I was able to flourish.”

Another of Dior Carter’s dynamic exploits is RNS Entertainment. “I got my AA in fashion, marketing, and design. RNS is my clothing and merchandise company. It’s ‘Real N---a Shit.’ But for people in the Hip Hop community, the clothing might be ‘Real N’ Swaggy.’ For the ladies, ‘Real N’ Sexy.’ ‘Real N’ Serious.’ I’m going to cater to everybody.”

On his latest EP NO MORE FAKE FRIENDZ, Carter devotes himself to adapting his creative essence to what’s directly in front of him. “I'm just creating,” Carter recounted. “I'll just hear a beat and if the beat is cutthroat, then I contribute cutthroat to that beat. If the beat is mellow, then I go mellow. I do not make a song until I hear the beat. If the beat is grimy, then that’s what I create. My whole plan is to really f--k people up. Because when they hear my shit, they won’t see it coming.”

Dior Carter has multiple projects on the horizon. Expounding on his future foray into fiction, Carter said, “For people that read books, they’re gonna be reading these books. I’m gonna be writing some dope ass books. My first one is a horror novel.” Furthermore, Carter’s album Age of Aquarius will be released in the summer. “I am an Aquarius. I named the album that because it’s a new dawn. Between the energies and the power shift, a real change is coming.” Additionally, Carter has an album called The Other Side which should see light soon. “The Other Side, that’s gonna be some Hip Hop level shit. Nobody is going to be ready for it. People are going to hear that and ask who it is.”
