Pop Alternative Artist Broshé Brings “The Party,” Demonstrating His Staying Power As A Rising Artist

MIAMI - Born on the island of St. Vincent and raised in Miami, Broshé unleashes a fresh look and sound to urban contemporary music. With music firmly rooted in his passion for pop and R&B, Broshé’s music embodies his hope and dreams that blend sounds of his homeland and the Magic City.

“Miami is a city of parties, and it gave me the idea to have fun,” said Broshé. “The club scene is the foundation of the culture - Caribbean, Spanish, and others who enjoy dancing and having fun.”

Taking inspiration from the vibrant club scene, he brings his versatility in “The Party,” a seven-track album that has quickly collected streams since its release. The album is a fusion of Broshé as an artist and the native Caribbean, staying true to its title.

“I don’t want to categorize myself into one genre,” he said. “My music varies. I can go from pop to R&B to hip hop and rap, or even alternative.”

The adaptability of his style allows Broshé to write songs that connect to music lovers worldwide. Focusing on love and pain as his preferred topics, his songs bring everyday life into focus. “In the daytime, you can feel love and pain, but at nighttime, you genuinely can feel pain or heartbreak,” he explained. “I want people to feel comfortable feeling that way. Everyone goes through these feelings.”

“The Party” takes listeners on a journey. Like a mini-movie, “Welcome to the Party,” Turks & Caicos,” and “Love Ya Down” introduce the party’s fun-like socialization and overall celebration that reaches a climax. The remaining songs, “Dreams,” “One for Me,” “Sexy,” and “After the Party,” transition to people enjoying the party while slow dancing until the celebration ends.

“There’s a shift from song-to-song going through a different phase of the party, and the endpoint that thanks to you for listening,” he explained. “It’s like a movie put to the music of going to a party. There’s a connection from the intro to the ending, just like the start and conclusion of a party.”

As an independent artist, the music video for “One for Me” has been viewed more than 11k just days after its release. With a retro radio vibe, “One for Me” is “dedicated to the person you miss the most. The one you saw everything with, and now you wonder where they went,” he said. “The song gives you a feeling of negligence and pain that you can’t seem to escape.”

Admitting to having a personal favorite on the album, “Dreams” is a radio song begging to be played. Featuring an up-tempo dance vibe fused with Caribbean sounds and Afrobeats, the track has a dreamy sound that harkens back to being on an island.

“We need new Caribbean music to connect to people,” he said. “The song is about missing the one you love, but dreams can give you feelings of being with the one you love.”

Broshé said his next album, “After the Party,” will further dive into his emotions and translate them into music. “I want ‘After the Party’ to bring them back to remember and open up their emotions.”

With two more videos in the future for “The Party,” Broshé said, “You may be a person who enjoys Caribbean music. If you want someone to put their heart and soul in music and listen to it on repeat over and over, that’s me.”
