Hip Hop/Soul Artist Revelation Adds To “The 7th Sign” Album Collection With Second Installment

ATLANTA - Honored with the 2022 Hip Hop/Soul Award by American Entertainment, Revelation is not new to the music industry. He is known for his reality hip hop fused with soul that hits listeners in the heart while bringing nothing less than the truth in his songs.

“If I don’t feel it in my heart, I don’t speak it out of my mouth,” Revelation said.

Currently, “The 7th Sign (Album 1)” continues to unite and collect new fans to Revelation’s remarkable style and sound. Acknowledging his deep spiritual roots, Revelation applies wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to his musical approach, not to mention his uncanny resemblance to his iconic cousin, Tupac Shakur.

“In Album One, it is my soul, and me just being me,” he said. “I do it for compassion and to inspire people to do more in their lives in their communities and around the world. I want them to envision what I’m saying because it’s all-powerful.

“I’m just spiritual with my music. There’s gotta be soul first,” he said. “Then I can rap about my life, community, and circumstances of my life,” he said. “I look at the harsh realities of the ghetto. I have loved ones who depend on me. I rap for them - my children, friends, fans, the deceased, and incarcerated.”

Ensuring his music is down-to-earth and reaches everyone, Revelation said, “Once there is soul in the music, then comes the story and the truth captivator.”

That truth has never been more on display in his upcoming album, “The 7th Sign (Album 2), which is slated to drop as a summertime release.

The first single from the album is “Freedom,” featuring Claudette King, daughter of the legendary B.B. King. The song features King’s sultry blues yet powerful sound flowing around Revelation’s rapping. The track focuses on injustices facing the Black community and shows how far we’ve come but demonstrates that there is much more work to gain freedom.

The music video was filmed outside of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s home and pays homage to the Black Panthers, John Lewis, Harriet Tubman, and other freedom fighters.

As a modern-day philosopher who can jump on any track and unleash a spontaneous reign of lyrics that will leave the mind mesmerized in awe as he said, “I want to teach a nation.”

The lesson continues with “All in My Head,” the second featured track off Album 2. With a soulful melodic vibe, Revelation uses the song to reflect on his life and the promise that he has kept his soul intact and never forgets the people around him in mind, body, and spirit.

In addition to being an artist, Revelation is the CEO of Slave Music Entertainment, which encourages independent artists by providing a venue for studio production and management services.

Knowing that his journey is due to the love and support of many, he said, “I give thanks to God and the whole Heavens above, my whole, entire family, friends – alive and passed on, – my fans and labelmates; Kinfolk Feni; Anniston, AL (Anna-Dope); Atlanta, GA (Hotlanta); Long Beach, CA (Killafornia); The Whole Wide-World; Slave Music Entertainment, LLC, Bravo Studios, Rich Productions, and my staff and crew nationwide.”

Additionally, acknowledging the importance of industry media companies, Revelation said, “There is much love to all the magazine companies in the industry, Starlight PR, and to everybody to always remember to love yourselves after God first.”

While pursuing his musical talents, Revelation is more than simply a hip-hop artist. “My whole soul lives,” he explained. “I want to shine the light in the darkness of this world. It’s too big to be inside my little body.”

Revelation utilizes witty wordplay, classic hooks, and melodic flows to connect to his fans with lyrics that speak the truth while honoring the past. Ensuring his music is void of guns and drugs, Revelation said, “We must love ourselves and do what you want to do in life. Don’t listen to those who doubt you and don’t believe in you because they are soul-suckers.”
