FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert series is expanding its lineup ahead of next year’s tournament, with opera star Andrea Bocelli now confirmed as a special guest performer, according to FIFA.

UPDATE (June 8): Andrea Bocelli has joined the roster for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert series in Mexico. He will appear alongside Los Ángeles Azules, featuring Belinda and Elena Rose. The Italian tenor is set to perform at Mexico City’s Auditorio Nacional, with FIFA confirming the news on Monday (June 8). The concerts will take place simultaneously across Mexico City, Los Angeles, and Toronto on Wednesday, just one day before the World Cup opening.

PREVIOUSLY (June 3): Diplo’s Major Lazer project and Los Ángeles Azules featuring Belinda and Elena Rose were originally announced as part of the lineup for the Countdown Concert series, revealed by FIFA on June 2. The synchronized shows are scheduled to take place across Mexico City, Los Angeles, and Toronto on June 10.

The Countdown Concert series, developed in collaboration with the Grammys, is designed to connect the three host countries of the 2026 FIFA World Cup — Mexico, the United States, and Canada — through synchronized live performances ahead of the tournament kickoff.

In Mexico City, Los Ángeles Azules will headline the night at the Auditorio Nacional with guests including Belinda and Elena Rose, plus additional surprise appearances tied to the larger “México Vibra” celebration featuring artists such as Alejandro Fernández, Carín León, Timbiriche, Carla Morrison, and Meme del Real.

In Los Angeles, Diplo will lead the Major Lazer performance with Nigerian artist Davido also scheduled to appear, while Toronto’s show will feature performances from Bryan Adams, Nora Fatehi, Sanjoy, Vegedream, and collaborations including Wyclef Jean.

The Countdown Concert will be streamed live at 7 p.m. in Mexico City, 6 p.m. in Los Angeles, and 8 p.m. in Toronto, available through FIFA’s digital channels, including its official TikTok livestream.
