DJ Vlad Criticizes Joyner Lucas For “Clout Chasing” And Misunderstanding Lawsuit

DJ Vlad recently appeared in a VladTV conversation with Wack 100, where he spoke openly about his ongoing legal fight with Joyner Lucas. For those not familiar with the situation, he is taking the rapper to court for copyright infringement, arguing that he missed out on revenue after Lucas reposted one of his interview clips without giving the proper acknowledgment.

In return, the Massachusetts artist pushed back on social media, slamming the entire lawsuit. He accused Vlad of wanting an interview from him and turning to unnecessary tactics to gain attention. In Vlad’s newest reaction to the whole mess, he flipped the accusation back onto Joyner, calling him the one who is chasing clout and adding that both the rapper and his manager “do not seem very smart.”

To start, Wack recalled a previous conversation with Joyner Lucas in which the rapper said he had no appreciation for the journalist’s style, personality, or overall presence. Vlad countered by saying that he has a responsibility to safeguard his work, the money he earns from it, and the copyrighted materials connected to his platform, especially when reposts like the one Lucas shared go viral and rack up a huge amount of online activity.

From there, Vlad explained that he had already been communicating with the rapper’s manager before any of this became public, hoping to arrange something. But when Joyner Lucas’ clash with the U.K. rappers exploded, his repost of the Aries Spears interview mocking them did not have the VladTV logo on it. Vlad added that he found it hypocritical for Joyner to criticize him yet still use his content for engagement.

He continued by calling Joyner the person chasing attention, since Vlad originally tried to resolve everything quietly through the courts after the rapper supposedly agreed to an interview. Behind the scenes, though, Lucas insulted him, and the situation pushed Vlad to officially move forward with the lawsuit.

In another part of the online drama, DJ Vlad is also taking aim at others. As the accusations of racism push Rory into the spotlight, Vlad called him out for consistently insulting him and bringing up his race. “Rory spent years talking s**t about me, trying to push the ‘I’m white but I’m not like Vlad’ narrative,” Vlad wrote on Twitter. “He was right. Now everyone sees that Rory has always been racist towards black women. I am nothing like him.”

Time will tell how Joyner Lucas chooses to address the latest round of comments. For now, it appears that both sides are preparing to continue this legal fight in court.
