KATSEYE is inviting EYEKONS into a lesson on style and sophistication, starting with one simple rule: keep those pinkies up.
The HYBE K pop girl group revealed their upcoming single “Pinky Up” through a sequence of social media teasers. The first arrived Monday, March 30, featuring a mysterious clip of the Mona Lisa lifting a steaming cup of tea with her pinky raised. The second teaser followed Tuesday morning, March 31, showing an arcade claw machine labeled “KATSEYE” as the claw pulls out a sword surrounded by sparkling plush toys and a single teacup. Possibly hinting at the song’s message, the caption read, “We’re screaming from cloud nine!!”
The third post officially confirmed the new single along with its cover art. The image shows someone kneeling on a carpet with a teacup resting on a saucer beside a toy cat, while the song’s title appears in bright pink lettering. The caption simply states “PINKY UP SINGLE RELEASE” along with the official release schedule of April 9 at 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET.
“Pinky Up” arrives just ahead of KATSEYE’s debut performance at Coachella on Friday, April 10. The release also marks their first new music since HYBE and Geffen confirmed last month that member Manon Bannerman would be stepping away from group activities for a period of time. Despite her absence, KATSEYE has continued with previously planned appearances, including sets at Lollapalooza Argentina and Lollapalooza Chile. On March 24, the group was also announced as the headlining act for the 2026 Head in the Clouds Music and Arts Festival scheduled for Aug. 8 in Pasadena, California.
