Pretty Ricky came away with what many fans considered a clean sweep over B2K during their Verzuz battle, but the conversation afterward quickly shifted beyond the music. During the event, B2K's Omarion asked where Pretty Ricky member Slick'em Hound was, sparking plenty of discussion across social media. Omarion later addressed the situation by expressing his support for Slick'em, and now Pretty Ricky's Pleasure P has also shared his thoughts on his bandmate's absence.
In a video shared by The Shade Room on Instagram, Pleasure P reflected on the struggles that often come with success in the music industry and emphasized the importance of supporting one another through difficult times. He also sent a heartfelt message to Slick'em, expressing hope that he will return when he is ready.
"I've been through so much when it comes to just music, but it's me personally. And so have my brothers in the group," P remarked. "The thing that this success does to people mentally is very challenging. And I don't take that lightly. So shouts out to Slick'em. We love you, brother. And we definitely want you back. man. We just hope you do better and we're here for you always, first and foremost…"
What Happened To Slick'em Hound?
For those who may not remember, Pleasure P previously claimed in 2024 that Slick'em Hound was struggling with drug addiction. "They got one of my brothers on heroin, and I don't want to talk his business. But I miss him, and I wish I could talk to Slick'em," he had shared at the time. Fellow group member Spectacular Blue also revealed in the past that they had attempted to get Slick'em into rehab, but he reportedly declined those efforts.
Despite the challenges, Pretty Ricky has continued standing by their longtime friend and offering public support throughout his journey. Fans are now waiting to see whether Slick'em Hound will eventually address the situation himself or if additional members of Pretty Ricky or B2K decide to speak on it.
Meanwhile, another conversation emerged following the Verzuz battle when Day26 member Willie Taylor boldly claimed his group would have "smoked" both Pretty Ricky and B2K in a Verzuz matchup. His comments quickly fueled another wave of debate online.
Even so, when it comes to Slick'em Hound, what could have turned into a point of conflict between the two groups instead became a moment of unity. Both Pretty Ricky and B2K appear to be hoping for his recovery while continuing to show him encouragement and support.
