Trina was the latest star to hit the stage at SeaWorld San Diego as part of the theme park’s buzzworthy Summer Spectacular Concert Series. Her set had the entire venue lit up, with the crowd moving and vibing to her most iconic tracks. But one moment from the night went viral for an unexpected reason a clip showed four security guards escorting an audience member out of the stands. What sparked the removal is still a mystery.
When The Neighborhood Talk shared videos from Trina’s performance on Instagram, the comments section lit up with reactions. “Sea World definitely dropped some serious bags for her. Trina doesn’t come cheap,” one person wrote. Another chimed in with, “Why is my sis performing at Sea World… someone explain.” A different fan added, “What’s going on with SeaWorld and their bookings lately?? First the Ying Yang Twins and now Trina!??”
Some commenters couldn’t help but react to just how hyped the crowd was. “Twerking at SeaWorld? I don’t know about that lol,” one joked. Another laughed and said, “And with the kids right over there too! LoL chileeeee!”
SeaWorld's Summer Spectacular Concert Series
Before Trina’s big night, SeaWorld San Diego had already brought in a lineup of hip-hop and R&B names this summer, including Waka Flocka Flame, Fat Joe, Baby Bash, Ying Yang Twins, and Soulja Boy.
In a July interview with Rolling Stone, SeaWorld San Diego’s VP of Marketing, Jackie Plaza, explained why the park decided to shine a spotlight on hip-hop and R&B. “One of the things we both noticed [last year] was that hip-hop and R&B have this multi-generational feel to them,” she said. “It’s especially this genre where it’s millennial, it’s throwback… these hits were the soundtrack to your life. When you watch the crowd, it’s unlike any other show because it’s like when a mom brings her kid, the kid gets to experience what she lived through back then.”
