A-Traks Fools Gold Records Signs Global Distribution Deal With Caroline

Brooklyn-based label Fool's Gold, home of one of its co-founders, DJ-producer A-Trak, has entered into a worldwide distribution partnership with Caroline, Capitol Music Group's indie-centric label services division. Caroline's first release for Fool's Gold is "Believe," A-Trak's collaboration with Quavo and Lil Yachty.

"Picking a distribution partner for Fool's Gold was a decision we didn't take lightly," said A-Trak. "We went to everyone's offices and inspected their fridges and closets. With the amount of personal care we put into all our releases, we needed to find a team that shared the same passion and OCD behavior."

Founded in 2007 by A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs, Fool's Gold's influential catalog includes early releases by Run the JewelsFlosstradamus and Danny Brown, as well as Kid Cudi's debut single, "Day 'N' Nite."

The label is currently busy producing its annual roving Day Off festival, with upcoming dates in New York City, Los Angeles, Atlanta and London. And the company opened a Brooklyn store. Said Catchdubs, "It's exciting to see what our new label COO Marty Nolan and longtime GM Ben Jacobs are creating with the peerless Caroline squad, pushing FG’s mission and music to a new level. Cue airhorn noise!"
