Janet Jackson Shares Rehearsal Pic for Re-Booted State of the World Tour

New mom Janet Jackson is ready to get back on the road. The pop superstar who gave birth to her first child, Eissa al Mana, in January, gave notice to fans on Monday night (Aug. 7) that she's gearing up to resume her State of the World tour.

With a simple tweet, Jackson announced, "Hey u guys. I'm so excited for the State of the World Tour. We r in rehearsal mode. See u guys in  1 month!"

According to Jackson's site, the 55 dates are slated to kick off on Sept. 7 at the Cajundome in Lafayette, Louisiana, and carry on through a December 17 show at the Philips Arena in Atlanta.

Last April, the 50-year-old singer postponed her Unbreakable world tour and took to Twitter to tell fans that she and her husband were "planning our family." Jackson then confirmed her pregnancy with a photo to People in October. "We thank God for our blessing," she said at the time. Jackson married Al Mana, a billionaire businessman from Qatar, in 2012. Her first single following a seven-year hiatus titled "No Sleeep" was inspired by Al Mana; the couple reportedly splitearlier this year.
